I have a female cockatiel and I want to breed her but I don’t want to keep a male bird. I’ve heard that once they mate, they mate for life. But I’ve also heard that if you don’t keep them together for to long that they won’t bond and you can separate them. My aunt had a pair of cockatiels and when the male died, the female starved herself to death. I really don’t want anything like that to happen. I got my cockatiel from a bird rescue place and she is about 10 months now. How old can she be to breed? She laid an egg about 3 weeks ago.

Well of course! As long as my spouse is not corresponding with people/men, why would I care?

Is there anybody else on this site that has been happily married for over 10 years and is still working on thier 1st marriage ?
